Mount Douglas Park, located in Victoria, BC, is a year-round destination that offers a range of activities and experiences for visitors. Spread across 1.88km², the park features the largest urban forest on the Saanich Peninsula, offering over 21km of trails that meander through the forest and provide stunning views of the ocean and Mount Baker. Visitors can enjoy picnicking, playing on the beach or in the open field near the parking lot, taking in the panoramic views from the summit, or photographing the seasonal colors of the plants and the variety of birds and animals. The park also features a large picnic area with accessible washrooms and a backstop for activities. Additionally, the park has a gate leading to the summit, which is closed to motorized vehicles until 12 p.m. noon seven days a week to promote a more active, enjoyable leisure experience for pedestrians and cyclists.
