Heritage Acres is a captivating 29-acre site in Victoria, BC, that showcases the impressive collection of the Saanich Historical Artifacts Society. Visitors can explore a variety of trails and enjoy picturesque picnic spots throughout the area. The site features an array of original and replica buildings, such as a schoolhouse, log cabin, blacksmith shop, mercantile, chapel, boat house, and sawmill, providing an immersive experience of British Columbia's lifestyle in the early 1900s. The collection encompasses a diverse range of artifacts, including household items and farm machinery, with some displayed in the museum building and others scattered across the property. Additionally, guests have the opportunity to partake in rides on scale model trains, courtesy of the Vancouver Island Model Engineers Club, although it is advisable to contact them in advance to confirm the current schedule.
