The Centre of the Universe Observatory, nestled atop Observatory Hill, offers a unique celestial experience managed by the Friends of the DAO in collaboration with the National Research Council of Canada. During weekdays, visitors can access the site via vehicle from 8 AM to 5 PM, or alternatively, utilize the 24/7 pedestrian and cycle path located to the left of the road. Please note that weekend access is temporarily suspended as of July 2023 due to wildfire risk, except for scheduled events by Friends of the DAO. Security is provided, and visitors are expected to adhere to the National Research Council's code of conduct, which includes respectful behavior, adherence to rules set by on-site guards, and the preservation of the natural environment.
